Here’s a fabulous recipe for a delicious green smoothie. Raw, dark, leafy greens are rich in natural folate, magnesium, iron, calcium, antioxidants, carotenoids such as lutein and zeaxanthin (essential for eye health) as well as fibre and plenty of other wonderful micronutrients, which are so important for overall health. They also help regulate blood sugar levels and may even help regulate blood pressure fluctuations!

What better reason to incorporate one of these into your diet on a daily basis?!





1 Banana

1 x large or 2 x small apples

3 x large leaves of both kale and silverbeet

4 – 6 Leaves of dandelion greens, if sourced from a guaranteed safe, chemical free area, such as your own back yard

1 x Lemon (peeled)


Put ingredients in a blender and cover with filtered water, then blend until smooth.
